Prosecutor General Nabil Ahmed Sadeq ordered on Wednesday forming a team from the investigators from his office to resume the investigations into the death of Italian student Giulio Regeni to find the clues behind his death.
The decision was taken due to the presence of numerous geographic scopes in that incident especially that some of the belongings of the late student were found inside a woman's house in Shubra el Khima, who joined a gang that steals people in Cairo.
Meanwhile, Sadeq telephoned his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Pignatone and posted him about the latest developments of the case as well as the investigations carried out concerning it and agreed to exchange information till tracking down the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
Earlier, the general prosecution revealed that it received in March 20 a minute about the complaints of citizens and foreigners who were robbed in some areas in Cairo.
The investigations showed that the gang included Tarek Saed Abdel Fattah Ismail, Salah Ali Saed Mohamed and others.
The prosecution announced that a warrant was issued for the arrest of the perpetrators and seizing the stolen items as well as the tools used in their crimes.
