Prosecutor General Nabil Sadek Monday imposed a gag order on the ongoing that implicates the director of procurement at the State Council and two others.
The gag order, which will continue till the end of the investigations, includes all media outlets.
Statements issued by the office of the prosecution general in this regard are excluded from the gag order.
Last week, Gamal Ibrahim El Laban was arrested over bribery charges.
He is an administrator at the Council but not a judge.
Two others were arrested with Laban, but their identities have yet to be revealed by the prosecution.
Upon searching Laban’s house, the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) found him in possession of EGP 24 million, $4 million, 2 million Euros and more than one million Saudi Riyals, in addition to gold accessories.
A few days ago, the misdemeanor court ordered Laban to remand in custody for 15 days pending investigations.
