Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Public Health, is taking part on Thursday in the 45th session of the Arab health ministers’ council. The session will take place in Cairo.
The meeting will discuss a number of important issues on the agenda, including two Qatari proposals on the exchange of health information, changing the date of the meetings of the council and its executive bureau that are held annually in May on the sidelines of the World Health Assembly.
The council will also discuss health legislations, improving maternal, adolescent and child health in the Arab region, mental health, prevention and treatment of addiction and social support, and developing the work of the council as well as Arab-Chinese cooperation in health, environment, buildings and hospitals.
