Minister of Information, Melhem Riachy, met, at his office in the Ministry on Wednesday, with MP Akram Shehayeb, with whom he dwelt on the necessity to preserve the state institutions.

Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Shehayeb said that communication was permanent with Minister Riachy.

"The meeting was a good occasion to discuss local affairs and the current situation, whereby we highlighted the importance of protecting internal unity and the state institutions, on top of which the security and military ones," the lawmaker said
