Dubai - Arab Today
Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has recently received in his office Dr. Aisha bint Butti bin Bishr, Director-General of the Smart Dubai Office, SDO.
They discussed means of boosting bilateral co-operation in supporting the Dubai Open Data Initiative with the aim of realising the shared strategic goals and simplifying numerous procedures.
They also pondered a host of joint initiatives for bringing happiness to customers through enabling them to process their transactions via smart services smoothly.
At the outset of the meeting, Al Tayer praised the Smart Dubai Office for the huge cooperation with RTA in a variety of fields relating to the business of the two parties, which contributes to realising common objectives and strategies.
He hailed the impressive results achieved following the MoU recently signed by RTA whereby nol card has been endorsed as one of the smart payment means in Dubai. Accordingly, a roadmap has been charted out to broaden the use of nol card as a means of payment across the Emirate.
Dr. Aisha also commended the co-operation with the RTA, which, she says, has enhanced the communication and integration as reflected in government partnerships in support of strategic initiatives and projects.
