The Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation has offered, during the first half of the current year, various types of humanitarian aid to those with limited income and families in need, with a total value of AED15.6 million.
Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, stated that providing this aid is part of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, and the supervision of H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain.
He also stressed that the foundation, through its projects and efforts, has offered humanitarian aid to underprivileged cases and families with limited income while employing all its capacities to ease their suffering, draw a smile on their faces, and provide them with hope and a dignified living.
Sheikh Majid added that the aid includes covering the school and university fees of many students in various stages of education, totalling AED2,476,859, as well as the rent for UAE citizens and residents, totalling AED 1,334,382. The aid also covers the cost of medical support worth AED1,466,058, which includes treatment fees, medicines and emergency treatment, as well as electricity and water bills worth AED456,990, to provide electricity and water in the new houses of those with limited income.
He further explained that the foundation has helped to furnish many new houses, which includes buying furniture and basic appliances worth AED1,720,207, so beneficiary families can move into their new homes and live a dignified life.
He added that other expenses were allocated for other charity activities.
