Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Sultan Zayed Alfalahi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has inspected the conditions of Syrian refugees and displaced families, the elderly and children in camps in the Al Halabat area of Jordan.
Dr. Alfalahi toured the new emergency hospital, park, stadium and housing at the Emirati-Jordanian camp in Mrajeeb Al Fhood in the Al Azraq area of Zarqa Governorate and was briefed on the needs of the population and the provision of all means of support and services to them.
The Secretary-General met with the inhabitants of the camps in the presence of the UAE relief team involved in the campaign, and handed over relief materials to them having been briefed on their conditions in order to meet their needs as quickly as possible.
The beneficiaries extended their thanks and appreciation to the UAE and its leadership and people for efforts in providing relief assistance and support for them.
During the tour, Dr. Alfalahi was accompanied by Mohammed Abdullah Al Shamsi, the Emirati relief team leader and Director of the Emirati-Jordanian Camp, and Abdullah Al-Shehhi, Vice Director of the Emirati-Jordanian, along with a large number of the UAE relief team, volunteers and employees of the ERC and media representatives.
