The Ports Security Authority on Sunday thwarted an attempt to smuggle 2.5 million fireworks to Egypt through Damietta port.

Damietta port police was notified about a shipment of motorcycles that included hidden large quantity of prohibited fireworks.

All the legal measures were taken and the prosecution launched a probe into the case.
