A well-placed security source has denied reports alleging that Dar El Salam Police Station was closed by police personnel and officer in protest at transfer of head of the station.

In statements to MENA, the source said that such reports are baseless.

All security services at the station are going on normally, he said.

The police station chief was transferred as part of minor reshuffle in Cairo Security Directorate.
