Seminar highlights NGOs' role in spreading awareness about Qatar crisis

 A seminar organised today at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi by Kelna Alemarat Society, tackled the role of the civil society organisations in spreading awareness about the Qatari crisis.

Speakers included Dr. Abdul Khaleq Abdullah, Professor of Political Science and Head of the Arab Centre for Social Sciences, Mohammed Al Hammadi, Editor-in-Chief of Al Ittihad newspaper, Dr. Saeed bin Huawimil Al Ameri, Professor of Commercial Law and Dr. Saif Al Jaberi, Professor of Culture and Community at the Canadian university in Dubai.

The seminar started with a documentary film about the Qatari crisis, its political, economic and social implications and the UAE leadership's historic role in maintaining regional security and their commitment to retain the GCC as a solid entity, following Qatar conspiracy against their own brotherly and neighbouring countries.

Sheikh Musalam bin Hamm Al Ameri, Head of Kelna Alemarat Society, said since the time of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE had adopted principles of good neighbourliness, support for just causes and extending helping hands to the needy all over the world.
