President Abdel Fattah El Sisi raised on Thursday the national flag at Alexandria naval base after its renovation.

Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, the president inspected the new naval units; French-made GOWIND corvette, named "Al Fateh", TKMS-built Type 209/1400 submarine and Mistral-class helicopter carrier, which is named after late president Anwar el Sadat. 

During his inspection tour, the national flag was raised over the new naval units.
