Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa underlined the role of direct meetings with citizens in mapping out an action plan through which the Southern Governorate has been able to work out initiatives and programmes to cater for the needs of villages and cities in the governorate in a way that preserves the history and glory of landmarks, particularly in Riffa.
Speaking at his weekly Majlis, which convened in the Southern Governorate's building in the presence of dignitaries from the governorate, the Southern Governor praised cooperation with relevant parties, describing them as strategic partners in achieving set up goals. He said by sticking to cooperation as an approach, the Southern Governorate is trying to set a model to emulate and further promote cooperation as a characteristic feature of the Bahraini people.
The audience expressed thanks and appreciation to the Southern Governor for his keenness to develop the governorate while taking into consideration its historic landmarks. They affirmed unflinching support to all efforts aimed at attaining the noble goals of achieving progress and prosperity.
