The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) Sunday said that the Syrian government forces, backed by the Russian jets, controlled more than half of al Qaryatayn, a town in the province of Homs.

Reports which said that the Syrian forces took full control of al Qaryatayn town are totally bare of truth, added the SOHR. 

Fighting continued between both sides, it said.
