Tunisia hosts here Tuesday an international meeting to support Libya with representatives from 40 Arab and foreign countries, 15 financial institutions, regional and international organizations in attendance.
In a statement the Tunisian Foreign Ministry said, the meeting to support Libya come to a consensus and assist the government to resolves issues is organized by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the United Kingdom embassy here.
The meeting will be chaired by Tunisian Foreign Secretary Khamis Jheynawi who will confirm his country's support to Libyan unity and the Government of National Accord (GNA) across all fields and the country's stability and security.
The meeting follows the arrival of the unity government in Tripoli, headed by Fayez Al-Sarraj and brokered by the United Nations, to start its tasks despite opposition from different parties, especially in the east, where the House of Representatives (HoR) has not yet endorsed the government, while the Salvation Government in Tripoli refused to hand over power.
Many countries have vowed financial support to GNA as well as military support against the ISIS militants
