Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani today sworn in as the Ambassador of the UAE to Canada, before the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
During the swearing-in ceremony, Al Raqbani pledged his loyalty to the state and its President, to show respect for the constitution and laws, and to place the country's interests over any other considerations while performing his diplomatic tasks with a high sense of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed wished the ambassador success on his new assignment to serve the interests of the country and its people. He also urged him to exert all possible efforts to serve the Emirati people who travel abroad to receive medical treatment, students in foreign universities, businessmen and UAE tourists during visits, and to meet their needs during their presence in the countries concerned.
Present at the swearing-in ceremony were Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and a number of officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
