The Governing Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, IPU, named Ali Jassem Ahmed, member of the UAE Federal National Council, as a member and international advisor to its Committee on Human Rights, during its 137th session in Saint Petersburg.

Ali Jassem was selected as a member of the committee due to his vast international experience in the field of human rights.
