UAE to establish new phase of national action: Al Gergawi

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, stated that the annual meetings of the UAE Government would establish a new phase of national action, which would be characterised by integration of plans, unification of efforts, focus on the future and the team spirit of the UAE as per the directives of the wise leadership.

Speaking at the launch of the first session of the annual meetings of the UAE government, which started today in Abu Dhabi and will conclude tomorrow (Wednesday) with high-level participation, he noted that the UAE had a regional and international stature, which demanded that the country think differently about the future of its economy and while looking to secure renewable energy sources.

The country must also focus on the education and health sector and the challenges facing them in reaching their goals, apart from ensuring government services, its international reputation, its soft power and its targets, he added.

"Some 3,000 government indices show that the UAE has accomplished 71 percent of its targets for 2021, which is higher than the 70 percent it had set itself for 2017," Al Gergawi revealed.

"We thank God for helping us with our plan, which is in line with the directives of their Highnesses the Sheikhs, and demonstrate the efforts of thousands of government soldiers, who work hard to achieve the aspirations of the leadership and the people."
