Sheikha Sumaya bint Saqr Al Qasimi, wife of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, has congratulated Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Mother of Nation, for receiving The Agent of Change Award.

The award, which was given to her by the UN Women and the Global Partnership Forum, is part of Her Highness's efforts for being the driving force behind the achievements of Emirati women in all spheres.

In a statement, Sheikha Sumaya said that Sheikha Fatima is keen to provide her full support to UAE women and work towards empowering them, in addition to promoting gender equality both in the UAE and abroad, which has led to impressive achievements over the past years.

Sheikha Sumaya Al Qasimi said that this honour is a source of pride for every Emirati woman, reiterating that Her Highness Sheikha Fatima's keenness to achieve successful human development, has enabled Emirati women to attain great accomplishments across all fields. She also praised the achievements of Her Highness in the field of women’s empowerment and her efforts and pioneering role in various fields, including humanitarian aid.
