UN official hails UAE role towards Syrian refugees in Jordan

Anders Pedersen, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Jordan, has commended the great role played by the UAE in aiding Syrian refugees in Jordan.

During his visit to the UAE-Jordanian Camp, Mr. Pedersen said, "I was very impressed with the UAE-Jordanian Camp and the programmes it offered to Syrian refugees and their families," expressing his pride in the UAE and the countries that help Jordan to host Syrian refugees."

Mubarak Mohammed Al Khaili, Director of the UAE-Jordanian Camp, briefed the delegation about the tasks of the UAE relief team and the services provided by the Emirates Red Crescent for Syrian refugees in several camps in Jordan.

The visiting delegation toured the camp and exchanged views with Syrian refugees. The UN official thanked and expressed his appreciation of the ERC volunteers who leave their country for volunteer work in one of the most important camps for housing Syrian refugees in Jordan.
