Saudi security authorities announced on Friday that a man involved in terrorist attacks and a crime that killed two security men and wounded others in Qatif province, east of the Kingdom was arrested.
A Saudi Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman said that evidence was provided that Mufed Al-Omran was involved in the Qatif attack when a security patrol came under fire from an unknown source, killing two policemen.
Al-Omran was also involved in an attack on a traffic patrol that left assistant commander and two passers-by injured in Al-Khuyldeh neighborhood of Qatif, and a third one, kidnapping a citizen, beating and shooting him, then throwing the victim in the open., the spokesman added.
A machine gun, a bag containing a pistol, face masks, gloves, an amount of hashish and 15 tablets of amphetamines narcotic drugs were seized with Al-Omran when arrested, the security spokesman also said.
