Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office civil engineer from the Ministry’s Roads Planning and Design Directorate Eng. Ahmed Bu Asli who presented the Minister with a copy of his Master’s thesis in Transport Engineering from Lincoln College of the State of Nebraska in the United States of America. The thesis is titled ‘Roundabouts Operational Analysis and Improvement Techniques’.
The Minister commended the efforts of Al Asli in obtaining this honorable scientific degree and praised the content of his studies and scientific researches which are directly related to the work environment.
Al Asli extended thanks to the Minister for his constant support to the ministry's staff of and his encouragement to personal development and scientific advancement. He also extended thanks to the Ministry’s officials, projects managers, engineers, contractors and consultants for taking part in the questionnaire that the study contained.
The meeting was attended by Works Affairs Undersecretary Eng. Ahmed Al Khayyat, Roads Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Huda Fakhro and Roads Planning and Design Director Eng. Kadhim Abdul Latif.
