Works Ministry holds workshop.

The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, in collaboration with the General Authority for Social Insurance (GOSI), organized an awareness workshop on retirement regulations and benefits under the title ‘Retirement Benefits and Rights and Work Injuries’.

The workshop is part of a series of awareness workshops organized by the Ministry’s Human Resources Directorate, as part of the directorate’s monthly meeting (Majlis). The workshop aims to enhance the awareness of as many staff as possible to inform them about retirement regulations and benefits, the social insurance law and their rights and duties as per this law.

The workshop programme included a presentation on retirement law and liable groups, retirement contributions and rights, retirement salary and how to calculate it, method of calculating the annual rise at retirement, types of retirement bonus and retirement calculated and non-calculated period.

The workshop also highlighted retirement services, such as loans, pension replacement, virtual service and service integration, in addition to insurance against work injuries, people subject to injury rules, types of injuries, advantages prior to determining the proportion of disability, transfer to medical committees and monetary benefits during treatment period.
