Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa met on Thursday in Cairo with Egyptian counterpart Hesham Qandil. During the meeting which is the second in two days, Basindwa reviewed with Qandil some of the problems facing the Yemeni residents and visitors to Egypt of illegal acts. The Egyptian Prime Minister said that he would give his directives to the concerned authorities to provide security and necessary care for the Yemeni nationals. Qandil also asked Basindwa about the issue of Egyptians abductees in Yemen, demanding to be released as soon as possible. The Premier stressed the Yemeni government\'s care for the Egyptian abductees\' issue and would make every effort to release them safe. He also invited the Egyptian counterpart to Yemen to resume the meetings of the Yemeni-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee, affirming Yemen\'s keenness on strengthening mutual relationship of fraternity, love, and cooperation with Egypt. The Premiers reviewed the situations in the two countries and the political experience Yemen has gone through in the past two years in the light of the political settlement based on the Gulf initiative. They also discussed the situations and developments at the Arab and regional levels.
