Umm Al Qaiwain - Arab Today
Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, stated that the programme has completed 48 percent of the Martyrs Neighbourhood Residential Complex in Umm Al Qaiwain, which includes 232 residential units, costing AED324 million.
He made this statement today while inspecting the project, which is located in an area of 830,459-square metres. He also reviewed the latest updates and developments in the construction of the neighbourhood while viewing the completed residential units and construction work.
He added that the current amount spent by the programme has now reached around AED117,738,000 while stressing that the project, which is expected to be completed at the end of the second quarter of 2018, is exceptional for its geographic location between Etihad Road and Mohamed bin Zayed Road, as well as its close proximity to services facilities, such as the Sheikh Khalifa Hospital, the Ministry of Community Development and the Traffic Department Building.
He then highlighted the programme’s aim of constructing residential neighbourhoods with complete facilities, which will contribute to achieving social solidarity and promote positive relations between residents, through the services and facilities provided in these neighbourhoods. He also highlighted the programme’s desire to provide high quality and sustainable residential units for citizens, which considers the requirements of the Emirati family.
He explained that the programme decided to construct residential neighbourhoods with complete facilities due to its desire to make the citizens happy and fulfil their various needs, in line with the index of the UAE National Agenda 2021 on the timeframe of serving citizens who have applied for residential support.
