Cairo – Khaled Ali
Egyptian actress Abeer Sabry said she was honoured to be part of the jury of the International Women's Film Festival of Salé in Morocco. She is proud to represent Egyptian art in Morocco. "It sends a message about Egypt being a leading country in art, and at the same time it shows our detractors how great Egyptian cinema is" Sabry commented. “Since I arrived in Morocco I've been treated like a queen. This shows that Egyptian artists are very respected in any country despite attacks from Sheikhs and preachers. " I was praised for my role in Ma Sabk Al Esrar (Premeditated) by the festival organisers - this made me very happy." The actress will be back in Cairo on September 23. This is the sixth edition of the International Women's Film Festival, which has been organised by King Mohammed VI of Morocco. More than 125 films will be screened on this occasion, which will deal with women's issues.
