Before releasing his star-studded “Grateful” album, top online influencer Khaled Mohamed Khaled, better known as DJ Khaled, has rolled out the highly-anticipated video for “Wild Thoughts,” his collaboration with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller.
According to Rap-Up, the song was shot in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami. It boasts a summer nights vibe, with its sample of Carlos Santana’s “Maria Maria.”
RiRi and Khaled carry that motif with their colorful outfits, transporting the viewer to a warm Floridian life.
“Wild Thoughts” follows the video for “I’m the One,” which helped the Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne, and Quavo single become Khaled’s first No. 1 on the Hot 100.
Khaled is not done with visuals. He recently linked up with Nas and Travis Scott in the video for “It’s Secured.”
Also, Khaled shared his views on how to succeed on social media, during a recent interview with the CNBC.
“Being authentic always wins,” Khaled said. “When people see somebody that is just real, they love it. It ain’t no act. It ain’t no fake.”
Though Khaled rose to fame through his Snaps, he said he likes all the platforms, and uses tools to post the same content across all social media.
“I think it would be genius if the CEOs got together,” Khaled said. “I know everybody’s competitive, and everybody getting their money and doing what they have to do, but if they got together and made maybe a switch where we didn’t have to rip stuff off and put it and post it and find a way to break down the pie, (it would be great),” he added.
