Actress Julianne Moore revealed after winning an Oscar for Best Actress Sunday that her husband, Bart Freundlic, predicted the win months ago.
"My husband has been amazing. He's also the person who walked me up the steps. This is the first time I've told anybody this, and I'll tell you guys in this room: He was the first person to see the movie," Moore, 54, said backstage of the Alzheimer's drama Still Alice.
In the film, Moore portrayed the title character Alice Howland, a happily married linguistics professor who starts forgetting words and is later diagnosed with early onset alzheimer's.
"I like stories about real people and real relationships and real families, and that's what I respond to. And this movie had all of those things in it," she said.
Other nominees in the Best Actress category included Marion Cotillard (Two Days, One Night), Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), and Reese Witherspoon (Wild). Moore also won the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, BAFTAs, and Independent Spirit Awards for the role.
