Justin Theroux explained how dating Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Aniston changed everything during an interview for Elle magazine's Celebrity Spotlight feature.
"My life changed a lot," the 42-year-old actor told the fashion glossy "More people are like, 'Hey, man!' And I don't think that's from my role in John Adams."
Theroux added that after reaching celebrity status he learned very quickly not to engage with it.
"Just JKL. It was a learning curve, but it wasn't as traumatic as you might expect," he said. "It's just annoying. Occasionally you'll get a stewardess congratulating you, on, I don't know, whatever, some three-headed baby we just had."
As for the intense media scrutiny that he and his fiancée's relationship undergoes on a daily basis, the Leftovers star says what bothers him the most is "how terrible the narrative is."
"Just how poorly written it is," he continued. "It's worse than a telenovela. It's so dramatic. Like, 'They're broken up, they're together, they're storming out, storming in, rushing out, rushing in.' They make every celebrity look like a schizophrenic."
Theroux and Aniston became engaged in 2012 after one year of dating. The actor recently said the two have "hot feet" about their upcoming nuptials.
