The implementation of the government's economic program will be completed throughout 2017 and its progress be followed up every three months to assess achievements realized, said planning Minister on Sunday.
An international conference is due to be held in March and April to mark the first anniversary of launching Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030, Ashraf el Arabi added in statements to MENA.
The UN agencies concerned will be invited to the conference with the aim of promoting Egypt's vision, the minister stated, adding that the document of the strategy is flexible and updated every year.
During this year's conference, the short and long-term plans of the strategy till 2020 will be kicked off, of which the first will be 2017-2018 and would be debated by the House of Representatives, Arabi noted.
He added that this year, 2017, will witness uncovering the outcomes of projects undertaken by Ayadi Company for Development and Investment as well as the activation of civil service law with regard to the administrative aspect.
For the first time ever, tablets will be used in population census and public facilities counting, the minister said, pointing out that results will appear in eight months only instead of two years.
He further said that 2016 had witnessed linking databases of the country's ministries in a bid to expand e-services offered to citizens.
A Government's services directory, comprising 500 key services citizens seek from different state apparatuses, will be issued during the early months of 2017.
The directory will guide citizens to required procedures, documents and timing of services they seek.
