Airstrikes target Daesh

Coalition military forces continued to attack Daesh terrorists in Syria using fighter aircraft to conduct an airstrike, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Sunday.
Separately in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 14 airstrikes, approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, using attack, fighter, bomber and remotely piloted aircraft against Daesh terrorists, the announcement said.
In Syria near Kobane, an airstrike struck Daesh tactical unit and destroyed Daesh vehicle, the statement said.
In Iraq near Bayji, an airstrike struck Daesh tactical unit and destroyed an Daesh fighting position, while near Fallujah, an airstrike destroyed Daesh excavator, the statement said.
Near Mosul, three airstrikes struck two Daesh tactical units and destroyed two Daesh fighting positions, two Daesh vehicles, two Daesh heavy machine guns and Daesh building, it said.
Near Tal Afar, three airstrikes struck Daesh large tactical unit, Daesh storage facility, Daesh fighting position and destroyed Daesh building and Daesh heavy machine gun, it said.
Near Tikrit, six airstrikes struck six Daesh tactical units and destroyed Daesh fighting position and Daesh anti-aircraft artillery weapon, it said.
