About 117 fighters of Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram were killed by Chadian army in Lake Chad area over the last two weeks, Chadian General Staff said in a press release on Thursday.
Some equipments of Boko Haram were destroyed and severy boats and weapons were recovered, the release said.
The release said two chadian soldiers were killed and 2 others wounded in the fighting.
Over the last two weeks, Boko Haram fighters infiltrated into Lake Chad area. Faced with this situation, Chadian army launched an offensive on the fighters.
