US-led airstrikes

The US-led coalition against ISIL launched a total of 16 airstrikes in Syria and Iraq between 8:00 am on Tuesday, and 8:00 am on Wednesday, local time, the Combined Joint Task Force for Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) affirmed in a statement.
In Syria, fighter and bomber aircraft launched two airstrikes: near Al Hasakah, where "an airstrike struck multiple ISIL oil pump jacks," and near Ain Al Arab/Kobane where "an airstrike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed five ISIL fighting positions," the statement said.
In Iraq, attack, fighter and drone aircraft launched 14 airstrikes: near Al Asad, "three airstrikes struck an ISIL tactical unit, and destroyed an ISIL mortar tube and an ISIL staging area," near Al Qaim, another "three airstrikes destroyed an ISIL checkpoint, an ISIL bulldozer and an ISIL vehicle," and near Bayji, one airstike "struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL building," CJTF-OIR revealed.
Near Kirkuk, "three airstrikes destroyed an ISIL armored vehicle, an ISIL heavy machine gun, an ISIL vehicle and two ISIL excavators," near Mosul, "two airstrikes struck an ISIL tactical unit, three ISIL fighting positions and destroyed an ISIL excavator and an ISIL vehicle," and finally near Tal Afar, "two airstrikes struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed two ISIL buildings and an ISIL heavy machine gun," the statement concluded.
