Residents look at buildings

The US and coalition military forces continued to attack ISIL militants in Syria using attack, fighter, bomber and remotely piloted aircraft to conduct 18 airstrikes, the Combined Joint Task Force announced.
Separately, the US and coalition conducted seven airstrikes in Iraq using attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL militants, the announcement said. All strikes took place between 8 am Sunday and 8 am Monday local time, it added.
In Syria near Al-Hasakah, 11 airstrikes hit 10 ISIL tactical units and destroyed two vehicles, a bunker and a fighting position, the statement said. Near Dayr az Zawr, an airstrike targeted an ISIL crude oil collection point, while close to Kobani, six airstrikes struck an ISIL large tactical unit, four tactical units, a fighting position and destroyed four fighting positions, it said.
In Iraq near Al Asad, three airstrikes targeted two ISIL tactical units, a fighting position and destroyed and a checkpoint, the statement said. Near Ar Rutbah, an airstrike destroyed an ISIL vehicle; near Kirkuk, an airstrike stuck an ISIL tactical unit; near Mosul, an airstrike hit an ISIL checkpoint; and near Tal Afar, an airstrike destroyed four ISIL armored vehicles, it said.
