2 Israeli police woman wounded in shooting in al-Quds

Two Israeli Border policewomen were wounded in a combined stabbing and shooting attack at the Damascus Gate in the Old City in Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) on Wednesday afternoon, Israeli media reported.

Initial reports say three persons armed with knives, guns and explosives committed the two-pronged attack; all three were shot and killed by Israeli security forces, who are conducting extensive search for possible accessories to the assailants and additional bombs.

The attack occurred, according to Israel’s Channel 2, when the three aroused the suspicion of Border Police in the area, who asked to see their documents.

Nearly 169 Palestinians were killed and 15,000 others were wounded since the start of violence in the occupied territories with 30 Israelis killed and 350 others wounded.
