At least two Palestinians were shot and injured in clashes that broke out with Israeli troops on Sunday at the western entrance of the village of Tekou, east of Bethlehem, according to security sources.
The sources said Israeli soldiers used live ammunition, stun grenades. and teargas canisters toward locals. A Red Crescent personnel reported that at least two young locals were shot and injured with live ammunition in the thigh and foot, which necessitated their transfer to a medical center for treatment. The foot injury was described as moderate.
At least 152 Palestinians has been killed by Israeli forces' fire since the beginning of violent unrest across the Palestinian Territory, Gaza, and Israel in early October 2015. Over 15,000 others have been reportedly injured.
