Israeli jails

More than 400 Palestinian minors, including 16 females, are currently incarcerated in Israeli jails, according to a report by the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission.

On the occasion of the Palestinian Child Day, the Commission said Palestinian minor detainees are incarcerated under harsh imprisonment conditions in violation of all international treaties and conventions on child’s rights.

The Commission called on all human rights groups to 'uphold their responsibility’ towards minor Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails, and called for a greater role by the United Nations and the International Red Cross in this regard.
