US and partner nation military forces continued to attack ISIL terrorists in Syria on Wednesday using fighter and bomber aircraft to conduct six airstrikes, Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve announced.
Separately, US and partner nation military forces conducted seven airstrikes in Iraq on Wednesday using bomber and fighter aircraft against ISIL terrorists, the announcement said. All strikes took place between 8 am Wednesday and 8 am Thursday local time, it said.
In Syria near Kobani, five airstrikes struck two ISIL fighting positions and an ISIL staging area and destroyed four ISIL fighting positions, the statement said. Near Al-Hasakah, an airstrike struck four ISIL crude oil pumps and five ISIL crude oil well heads, it added.
In Iraq near Al-Rutbah, an airstrike destroyed an ISIL vehicle, the statement said. Near Tal Afar, two airstrikes struck two ISIL tactical units and destroyed an ISIL vehicle-borne improvised explosive device and an ISIL vehicle; near Kirkuk, an airstrike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL checkpoint; near Fallujah, an airstrike struck an ISIL tactical unit; near Al-Asad, an airstrike struck a large ISIL unit; near Sinjar, an airstrike struck an ISIL tactical unit, the statement said.
