Ramallah - MENA
Nine Palestinians have been injured by Israeli fire in clashes that are still going on in Abu Dis town, southeastern al Quds.
Many other Palestinians suffered suffocation after Israeli troops fired tear gas, spokesman for the popular resistance committees Hany Halabiya said Wednesday.
An Israeli force stormed the town around 6.30 a.m., claiming a suspicious object was in the area, Halabiya said.
The troops then started firing tear gas bombs toward schools and many students suffered suffocation, he added.
A confrontation then erupted between Palestinians and the Israeli troops, who shot and wounded nine Palestinians, the spokesman noted.
No ambulances have been able to reach the town, Halabiya said.
