A UN peacekeeper near the Israel-Syria border

The Arab Summit expressed its support for Syria's just demand and right to fully restore the Golan Heights occupied by Israel since 1967.
The summit, in a resolution issued on Syria's Golan Heights, restated that the Israeli occupation of the Arab territory continues to pose a threat to regional and international peace and security.
The resolution condemned the Israeli occupation of the Heights and its seizure of its water, land and mineral resources.
The summit stressed full Arab solidarity with Syria and Lebanon against the continued Israeli threats, deeming them an aggression on the Arab nation.
It urged the international community to commit to the international legitimacy resolution rejecting the Israeli settlement expansion in occupied Golan and oblige Israel to apply United Nations resolutions on fully withdrawing from Golan Heights and all Arab lands occupied since June 1967.
It also expressed full rejection of Israel's construction of a fortified barrier along the border with Syria.
