Smoke rises from the Syrian city of Kobani

The US-led coalition against Daesh launched 10 airstrikes in Syria and Iraq on Friday and Saturday destroying many targets of the militant group, a statement from Combined Joint Task Force for Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) affirmed.
In Syria, fighter and bomber aircraft launched two airstrikes: near the Syrian town of Ain Al-Arab (Kobane) where "one airstrike struck one ISIL tactical unit," and near Al Hasakah, where another "struck one Daesh tactical unit and destroyed one Daesh fighting position," the statement said.
In Iraq, attack, fighter and drone aircraft launched eight airstrikes: near Kirkuk, where "four airstrikes struck one large Daesh unit and two Daesh tactical units and destroyed four buildings, three Daesh machine guns, and three Daesh vehicles," near Mosul, where "two airstrikes struck one tactical unit, destroyed two Daesh vehicles and one structure," near Fallujah, where "one airstrike neutralized an Daesh rocket tube," and finally near Rawah, where "one airstrike destroyed two ISIL vehicles," the statement concluded.
The US does not typically report casualty figures, if any, from its operations against Daesh.
