Scores of Palestinians in the West Bank city of Jenin on Sunday suffered suffocation as a result of tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers, eyewitnesses said.

Clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces who raided the village of Romana and took photos of Palestinian houses, Palestinian security sources said.

The injured were treated at the scene, the sources added.
