Member of Fatah’s Central Committee Nabil Shaath condemned Israel’s interception and seizure of an activist ship seeking to break the Gaza blockade.

The Swedish-registered Marianne of Gothenburg was attempting to enter Israeli-controlled waters in the Mediterranean Sea and deliver aid packages to Gaza before being intercepted by Israeli naval forces.

Although the ship was blocked by Israel, its message was successfully delivered to the world that there were over 1.5 million citizens besieged in Gaza for years now, Shaath said.
