The opposition politician picked as transitional president by the junta in Guinea-Bissau told AFP Saturday he was turning down what he described as an \"illegal\" appointment. \"I do not accept this appointment,\" said Manuel Serifo Nhamadjo, who came third in the first round of a presidential election aborted by a coup on April 12. He was then chosen by the junta to lead a two-year transition.
