Islamic and national powers in Gaza warned against the worsening humanitarian conditions in the enclave which forced several people to commit suicide over the past few days as a result of the Israeli siege.

In a meeting held here on Monday, Gaza factions held the international community responsible for such serious developments as a result of the continued blockade on Gaza city.

They asserted that uniting ranks and achieving national reconciliation could positively contribute to easing the suffering of the Palestinian people and challenge the Israeli occupation measures against the enclave.

Gaza powers also discussed the issue of Palestinian prisoner Muhammad al Qiq who has been on hunger strike for 90 days running and the deterioration in his health.

They held the Israeli occupation responsible for the safety of Qiq, urging all international and humanitarian foundations to intervene to save his life and release him unconditionally.

They also called on Palestinian people to take part in a stand in support of Qiq on Tuesday at the Unknown Soldier Memorial Square in Gaza.
