Israeli forces allowed Monday scores of families of Gaza prisoners to visit their relatives in the Israeli prison of Ramon.

Forty-two families of prisoners including 12 children headed for the Gaza Strip via Erez crossing to visit 22 detainees in Ramon jail, Spokesperson of International Committee of the Red Cross Soheir Zakout said in a press statement.

As many as 7,000 Palestinian detainees are held in 22 Israeli jails, including 300 from Gaza Strip, who are sentenced to long imprisonment terms.
