Gaza families visit their relatives in Israeli jails

Relatives of prisoners from the Gaza Strip in the Israeli jail of Nafha have been allowed a visit.

A spokeswoman for the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) Suheir Zaqout said 81 family members of 48 prisoners were allowed on Monday to visit them.

They were moved via Erez terminal on the border of the besieged territory, said Sohir Zakout.

The ICRC coordinates periodical visits of families to the jail.

Up to 7,000 Palestinians are detained in Israeli prisons, including 400 from the Gaza Strip.
