Jerusalem - Petra
Israeli occupation forces on Monday closed the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem and prevented Palestinians from entering or praying in the holy Mosque, according to Palestinian sources.
The sources added that the Israeli Police allowed Jewish settlers to enter the courtyards of the Mosque, accompanied by Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset Moshe Feiglin, who forced their way into the Mosque under the protection of the Police erupting violent clashes between them and the worshipers.
"The unarmed Mosque guards confronted the Israeli police who randomly fired tear gas canisters in order to enable the settlers to perform their Talmudic rituals," the sources added.
