Israelis bulldoze Palestinian homes

Israel started Tuesday demolishing Palestinian houses and facilities in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli bulldozers destroyed houses dating back to 1967, local sources said.

This is the third time that Israel ruins such old buildings since 1996, the sources said.

Israeli forces also destroyed allegedly unlicensed markets, the sources said.

Late Monday, Palestinians repelled an attempt by settlers to torch a park in Qariout village, south of Nablus.

After Israeli settlers burnt the house of a Palestinian family in Duma village, south of Nablus, and killed a baby on July 31, Palestinian formed popular security commissions to fend off settlers' attacks.
