Ramallah - Arab Today
Israeli occupation forces imposed a tight military siege on Quds and al Aqsa Mosque and prevented Muslim worshipers under 40 years of age from entering the holy shrine.
The measure was taken in favor of Jews who celebrate Yom Kippur.
Worshipers who were denied access performed dawn prayers in streets.
Israeli forces have also prevented students from attending their lessons inside the mosque.
Sources said Israel fanned out additional hundreds of soldiers and border guards in addition to patrols roaming Quds streets.
Several main roads were closed with only settlers allowed to pass.
Many settlers were seen performing prayers at Magharba Gate before storming into al Aqsa.
The Israeli measures have forced hundreds of Muslims in Quds to go shopping in other Palestinian cities in preparations for Eidul Adha due to start on Thursday.
