Israeli Forces Detain 12 Palestinians from West Bank

Israeli forces detained early Wednesday and Tuesday night 12 Palestinians, including a journalist, from a number of West Bank districts, said security and Palestine Prisoner’s Society sources.

Five Palestinians were detained from Jenin, five others from Bethlehem, another from Qalqiliya and another from Tulkarem.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, forces detained three Palestinians during a dawn into Barta'a village, southwest of the city.

Forces detained Raja Qabaha, and his brothers, Younes and Ayed, after breaking into and ransacking their toy store and seizing their toy-loaded vehicle.

Forces also detained Ahmad Qasem, 22, after storming and ransacking his family house in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin city.

This came several hours after forces Tuesday evening detained a Palestinian during a raid into Yaabad town, southwest of Jenin.

The detainee was identified as Ahmad Ibarhim, 31.

Meanwhile, five Palestinians were detained during a predawn into Duheisha refugee camp, south of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.

Forces detained Rabi' Raqban, 24, Ahmad Sar'awi, Qusai Abu Zeina, Muhammad Da’oud and Khalil Araf after storming and ransacking their houses in the camp.

Clashes erupted between soldiers and local youths who attempted to confront them.

Soldiers fired live ammunition, stun grenades and tear gas canisters, causing several Palestinians to suffer from excessive tear gas inhalation.

In the meantime in Qalqiliya district, forces raided Kufr Qaddum village, east of the city, and detained Moayyad Shtaiwi, 58.

To the north of Qalqiliya, forces detained Sami As-Sa'i, a journalist, and al-Muta'sim-Billah, a dentist, 29, from the Tulkarem city.
